Well that was different, hmm? I've gotta say, the Huntsman film is looking better by the second...but maybe this is jus ta really, really bad trailer that unintentionally makes Mirror, Mirror look like a made-for-TV SyFy movie? It certainly isn't doing Julia Roberts any favors. Thoughts?

Well, I was right . . . it definitely is more lighthearted than Huntsman. Though it should be titled Snow White's Wicked Stepmother or something else to indicate that it's actually focused on the character Julia Roberts plays and not Snow White.
And was it my imagination or did JR try using a (really bad) British accent in the first scene only to lose it for the rest of the trailer?
I'm waiting on your review of "Once Upon a Time"'s latest episode, Ruth....I cannot wait to hear your thoughts
I see what you mean, Ruth, but having said that... I think Mirror, Mirror looks adorable - and the humor sounds like it will be great!
To me, fairy-tales should be light-hearted, so I am still leaning more towards this one, but just so long as I get to at least one in theaters, I'm good. ;D
Again, thanks for sharing!
Kaye, I thought the "other version" of Snow White seemed to focus a lot on the wicked queen also... nevertheless it will be interesting to see how both play out. =)
@Rissi---I'm perfectly okay with the idea of the other one focusing solely on the Huntsman in the title and skipping Snow White altogether! ;-)
I'll have to watch this when I get home so I can hear the sound, but according to the cast list, this one has Sean Bean as the King. That's gotta count for something! :D
Incidentally, I recently re-watched Snow White: A Tale of Terror. Wonder if this is going to be similar.
I think I'm going to like this one. It looks quirky and fun- though a little bit sillier than I would like. :)
I just watched the trailer for Snow White and the Huntsman, and I have to say I really liked that one, too! Coming from my really low expectations.

Yes, very different. But I do love a movie that doesn't take itself too seriously. I think I could end up liking them both simply because they are so very different.
Yes, it's different but that's why I loved the trailer. It looks fun and I can't wait to see it. =]
LOL! I see what you mean, Kaye! ;D
I like how Anne put it about liking them both because they are different - that will probably be how I feel about these movies! Each are sure to have their "strong" points. And, like everyone else, I am SO excited about this string of fairy-tale related productions. =)
@Kaye - I was expecting light-hearted...on first viewing though this was much sillier than I expected. But I think it will be fun!
@Ella - Oh it is coming, hang in there! :)
@Rissi - You're welcome - I think it will be fun (I mellowed a bit overnight, HA!). It will be interesting to compare the two!
@Traxy - Thanks for reminding me about Sean Bean, I totally forgot! You're right, that does count for something! :)
@Kristin - Snow White is going to be ON FIRE next year, between these two films and Once Upon a Time!
@Anne - I think you're on to the key there -- each will bring something very different and new to the table. :)
@Caroline - I think this one releases mid-March...which will be hear before we know it! :)
While the other looks exciting this one looks adorable. I smiled and smiled through the trailer.
I love the tirade about her skin and the line, "Not wrinkles just crinkles."
While I'm excited about both I could see my self rewatching "Mirror Mirror".
I think it looks cute! But zomg, ANOTHER ONE?!? And Snow White becomes a bandit in this one just like in OUAT? Is the same person writing all of these movies and TV shows?
@Juju - Adorable is the word! And with Nathan Lane in this film that is just another added bonus!
@heidenkind - No kidding! Snow White is the woman to be right now apparently!
Yup. The Huntsman looks a lot better!
@Renee - I'm still inclined to agree with you -- but I'll be seeing both films!
