Jane Eyre from Audrey Eclectic

When I initially conceived the All Things Jane series of posts, I never imagined I'd be discovering Jane Eyre-inspired mugs! I "met" Heather in the comments section of my Jane Eyre film review, and was thrilled to discover her fabulous artwork! When she mentioned to me that she'd designed and created a Jane Eyre mug, I knew I had to purchase one. I have this thing for mugs, you see, which I'll admit here since you all can't see inside my kitchen cabinets from blog-land. :)

Isn't this mug ADORABLE? I think Heather has captured Jane's prim and proper appearance, but there's a knowing look in the tilt of her head and the way her lips are pursed that perfectly conveys Jane's irresistable spunk. I LOVE it. Check out the back view of the mug:

When I first visited Heather's online shop to check out the mug listing, I laughed out loud when I saw the above picture. That's a sense of humor that I can definitely appreciate. :)

Heather's art is this wonderful combination of romanticism and whimsy - there's an almost fairy-tale quality to her work which I absolutely adore. Heather is a real pro to do business with - my mug order was quickly completed and promptly shipped, and came extraordinarily well-packaged (no need to worry about the Post Office wrecking my Jane mug in transit!). The mug itself is a nice, heavy-weight ceramic that is just the right size for holding the perfect cup of tea or coffee and curling up with a good book.

I can't imagine a more fun and unique gift for the lit lover in your life (and hey, if the lit lover in question happens to be yourself, I can totally relate!). :) However, if Jane Eyre isn't your thing, Heather has also designed Darcy and Lizzy mugs that are just as fun! Personally, I'm contemplating the purchase of a print or two someday - I absolutely love the Wuthering Heights-inspired "Emily's Walk" and the poignant, romantic seafaring print "The Captain's Wife."

You can visit Heather's blog HERE or browse through her online shops HERE or HERE.

I'd like to thank Heather for graciously allowing me to feature her shops here, and for sharing her mug photos with me for use in this post!

This is awesome, Ruth! So glad you shared this with us. :)

I think I'm going to have to let my Brit. Lit. teacher know about this mug... ;) It's so pretty with such a funny saying! (And so glad that I can get the joke because I read the book this semester! LOL)

I've seen her work before but I had no idea she has branched into pottery.

@Amber - Glad you enjoyed the post. I hope your British Lit teacher approves! :)

@Juju - I know, isn't it adorable? I'm just nuts about mine. :) And talk about it being a small world online - you've seen Heather's work before, but I only "met" her a couple of weeks ago!
