Amazing grace, indeed.

I love Nicole & Keith and to see that the would choose to sing this song - one of my FAVORITES - when visiting hospitalized kids, that means so much!

NEW KEITH URBAN MUSIC!!

Okay, apparently I'm really falling down on the job here, because I just discovered today that Keith Urban released new music, TODAY. YAY! This probably means a new album THIS YEAR, right?! SO. EXCITED. You can purchase "Little Bit of Everything" from iTunes here.

Keith Urban 8.6.11

Last night I went to see Keith Urban in concert for the fourth time, so I thought I'd share a few of the 200 or so pictures I took to mark the occasion. :)

Jake Owen was the opening act, and he was fantastic - high energy, great live performance.

And now for the main attraction:

And then things got really interesting...it's going to be hard to top this concert, since my seat was so fabulous I got this close:

It was after this set that Keith left the stage and walked right in front of me. RIGHT. IN. FRONT. OF. ME. I freakin' touched Keith Urban. True story. (And then it happened AGAIN!)

It's quite fitting, really, that this is called the Get Closer tour, since I got close to Keith not once, but TWICE. And I am here to testify that up close and personal and dripping with sweat, Keith is still freakishly perfect. (Nicole and daughter Sunday Rose were in attendance last night, but I have no idea where they actually were in the arena.)

Since this is my fourth KU concert (trust me people, this nevr gets old), there's really not much I can say that hasn't already been said about Keith, his band, or the whole concert experience. He and his team go above and beyond and literally pour themselves out  on the stage, a study in excellence and artistry and watching someone do what they love and do it well. Being a part of that is an incredible high. :)

I'll leave you with a little Jake and Keith:

Coming in August...

Look in the center of this seating chart. Do you see section 4, right there in the middle on the floor? Now imagine row 2, seat 1. Okay, got it?

That's where yours truly will be in August, seeing this guy in concert for the fourth time (I know, it's ridiculous, but I can't pass up an opportunity to see him live!).

Love you, Keith. :)

This week...

This week is just chock-full of movie and music related goodness (if you share my tastes, LOL!). Here's a look at what I'm looking forward to this week:

Josh Groban's new album Illuminations released today. I'm planning on picking up a copy tomorrow. Josh and I nearly broke up over his album Awake (very hit-or-miss with me) and were saved through Noel, I'm very anxious to hear his latest project.

Tomorrow sees the release of Keith Urban's new album, Get Closer. If you're a KU addict like I am, you'll want to pick up the deluxe edition exclusive to Target - it includes 3 new and 4 live bonus tracks. Honestly, if Keith Urban's new CD was the only thing happening this week I'd be a happy camper. Keith Urban album days are happy days. :)

Wednesday sees the long-awaited premiere of Human Target's second season. Here's a preview. I can't wait! SO happy that this show got a second season.

And Friday...well what can I say about Friday? Except that it's sure to be fabulous and emotionally devastating all at once. Harry Potter, I can't wait.

Keith Urban concert

In case I have never made it clear, I absolutely love Keith Urban. Not only is he an absolute doll, but he consistently delivers fantastic, amazing music. Last night was my third Keith Urban concert, and once again he did not fail to deliver. There are very, very few acts that I will actually pay just about any price to see (Keith is one, the other is Chris Botti). There are plenty of acts I would go see if someone gave me tickets, or if tickets were incredibly cheap and a group of friends wanted to go, but I am at the point that only those two artists are "must-sees."

What makes a must-see was perfectly captured by last night's experience. Keith Urban has never, ever failed to bowl me over with his artistry, musicianship, energy, and sheer musical excellence, whether it's on an album or live and in person. And I realize this is probably going to sound incredibly corny, but whatever - I never fail to leave a KU concert on the high that can come only from seeing an artist at the top of their game hold nothing back and just pour themselves into the audience. There's nothing quite like watching a performance of that caliber and just knowing that you're watching a guy doing what he loves, that there's no place he'd rather be than giving 110% on stage.

Here are a couple more pics from last night's show. I'm pretty pleased with my little Kodak camera. :) Sugarland was the opening act, but because Jennifer Nettles gets on my last nerve posting pics of the opening is not on my necessary to-do list. ;-)

Something to look forward to...

Excuse me while I crow for a minute...I got my tickets to see Keith Urban this summer!! I am so flipping excited!! This will be my third KU show - and people if you haven't seen him live, he is so worth every penny. (The above picture is from the Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing tour in 2007. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G show.)
