I have a lot of trouble believing that the first Percy Jackson movie made enough money to warrant a sequel, but what the heck do I know? LOL Thanks to Karrie for posting the trailer (and helllloooooooo Nathan Fillion):
People, I am really not sure how I feel about this:
I love Much Ado. LOVE it. That play is so near and dear to my heart, and informs so much of my outlook towards book and film...whether I'm reading about a couple or watching them on-screen, there's a 98% chance I'm subconsciously measuring their chemistry by the gold standard that is Beatrice and Benedick.
So. I'm just not sure about this vision of Shakespeare's timeless comedy of manners and romance. Maybe it's just the trailer -- the way its shot, the music? Maybe I'll love Amy Acker as Beatrice and whoever this Benedick guy is (Alexis Denisof -- clearly my problem is that I was never able to get into Buffy).
On the plus side, Nathan Fillion is playing Dogberry! And Clark Gregg is playing Leonato! HELLO AGENT COULSON. :) So there's that. Has anyone seen it? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
I've mentioned a time or two (HA) that I'm a fan of Castle (okay, I'm mad about the show!). I'm also a hugh fan of film noir classics (think Laura and I Wake Up Screaming). So I was THRILLED when I saw the preview for Castle's next brand-new episode (airing February 6th) entitled "The Blue Butterfly." Here's the trailer:
Here's a bit about the episode:
CASTLE - "The Blue Butterfly" - When Castle and Beckett investigate the killing of a treasure hunter, they discover the case is linked to a mysterious homicide from 1947 involving a hard-boiled private detective. Castle realizes the only way to solve the present-day murder is to solve the murder from the past. The 1947 case comes to life through stylized flashbacks, featuring Castle as the private eye and Beckett as a femme fatale, on "Castle," MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/KAREN NEAL) STANA KATIC, NATHAN FILLION
And here are a few of the promo shots ABC released -- aren't these absolutely AMAZING?! The rest of the set can be viewed here.
Fall TV starts to return next week, and that means some of my favorite shows (along with possible new favorites) will once again be gracing my TV screen. Castle is one of the shows that I'm most looking forward to -- the Season 3 finale was an intense, emotional, gut-wrenching roller coaster ride. Nathan Fillion, I adore you. :)
Castle returns Monday, September 19th (I want to take this moment to thank ABC for this early birthday present). Here are a couple of previews to whet your appetite for Castle & Beckett's return!
Please note, if you haven't seen Season 3 the following videos contain spoilers. :)
And last but certainly not least, thanks to Rissi for making me aware of this excellent noir-style promo picture for Castle's fourth season that's circulating around the web -- I LOVE THIS:
Nathan Fillion sporting a trenchcoat and a fedora? I DIE, I really DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *wink*
So, who else is eagerly anticipating Castle's return?
