Love's Awakening cover debut!

We all know that I love me some Laura Frantz, right? Not only is the lady a total class act, but she writes some amazing books to boot. :) The cover for her next novel released yesterday, and it is SUCH a beaut I couldn't resist sharing it with you:

A couple of my fabulous friends suggests that the cover model and I share a resemblance, so of course this became my Facebook profile picture yesterday. *wink*

Here's a bit about the story, releasing this September:

Ellie Ballantyne, youngest child of Silas and Eden, has left finishing school. But back at her family home in Pittsburgh, Ellie finds that her parents are away on a long trip and her siblings don't seem to want her to stay. When she opens a day school for young ladies, she begins tutoring the incorrigible daughter of the enemy Turlock clan. The Turlocks are slaveholders and whiskey magnates, envious of the powerful Ballantynes and suspicious of their abolitionist leanings. As Ellie becomes increasingly tangled with the Turlocks, she finds herself falling in love with an impossible future--and Jack Turlock, a young man striving to free himself from his family's violent legacy. How can she betray her family and side with the enemy? And will Jack ever allow her into his world?

Masterful storyteller Laura Frantz continues to unfold the stirring saga of the Ballantyne family in this majestic tale of love, loyalty, and the makings of a legacy. With rich descriptions of the people who settled and civilized a wild landscape, Frantz weaves a tapestry of characters and places that stick with the reader long after they turn the last page.

I had a sneak peek at the cover a while back, and that was the first thing I thought (and told Laura). She looks like you!

Another beautiful cover for Laura. I'm so pleased.

@Lori - You and Laura...oh you made my day with that comparison! Love it! :)

She does resemble you, Ruth. :)

It's such a gorgeous cover! love the colors and design. Did you see the alternate design at the window? It's quite pretty also. :)

LOL! Never mind, I see that you saw the first concept - you have the link right there! :)

@Rissi - No worries about the link! :) And thank you!

Oh, this does my heart good:) Ellie looks right at home here seeing as how you're her twin! And it wasn't only Lori and me thinking it but dear Renee, too! LOVE that you use that as your profile pic now on FB. MUST SEE THAT!

When I to describe her to the art team in a few words, I said, "Intelligent. Ladylike. Determined."

I do believe the same could be said of you, dear Ruth:)

Whoops, please forgive the typo above. Blogger really needs an edit button!

@Laura - Oh Laura, thank you for not minding that I've used Ellie as my FB doppelganger. I appreciate it. :) And seriously, you are SO NICE to me, you're gonna make me cry (in a totally good way). :) I can't wait to "meet" Ellie in the pages of your book this fall!

I love this cover. I actually think this one is so much better than the original design at the window. Ellie looks a little washed out in that one. I guess the rolling hills of PA agree with her more! ;-) I hope I can post my cover doppelganger someday LOL!

xoxo,
Renee C.

@Renee - Me too...I'm so glad they moved away from the original window design. I like this one SO much better! And I can't wait to see your own doppelganger cover someday! :)
