For the love of FASSBENDER!

Tomorrow's a big day people, a big day. Tomorrow night I'm heading to the movies to spend some quality time with Michael Fassbender, et al, in X-Men: First Class.

I am RIDICULOUSLY excited about seeing this movie. Not only has Fassbender taken over the blog for a great deal of time this year, but he's starring opposite another old favorite of mine, the one and only James McAvoy. Now, I love James, but tomorrow is all about Fassbender for me (I promise, James you'll get your due...at some point...).

*swoons*

Any excuse to post Fassbender pictures on the blog. I look on it as a public service. :)

I love the mirror-image used in this poster - quite striking, no?

And one more...

I just couldn't resist. You're welcome. :) So who else is going to see X-Men tomorrow?

Seriously? When you said you were looking forward to XMen, I wasn't sure why. NOW I UNDERSTAND. I still haven't seen any of them and even that makes me feel rather unfaithful to Hugh Jackman.

Oh my. NOW I UNDERSTAND.
Thanks for your public service announcement...

@Debra - LOL, your comment made my night!!! See, there is a method to my madness. ;) You know, since this is a "prequel" movie, you can probably go ahead and start with this one...just a suggestion... :)

I really, really like x-men and this movie has me more excited than any of them. Like Debra, I am always willing to throw my support at Hugh Jackman. Mercy. But! This one looks even cooler. I'm so into James McVoy ... however you spell his name. He has such charisma. He's one of those actors that makes me lean into the screen b/c he's so compelling. Like in Penelope? Which was a fun fairy-tale? I would forget all the cuteness and be enthralled when he walked on. Such a good actor. I think this one will be super fun.

@Natalie - ME TOO! I haven't even seen this yet and based on the reviews I'm reading, I'm already hoping for a sequel. :P

You are SO right about McAvoy...I feel like I need to do a post on my McAvoy fangirl-dom just to even things out. :) I ADORE Penelope! Need to watch that...maybe this weekend. :)

Okay, I'm not normally a fan of these movies, but if Fassbender is in it then I'm going! And I quite like James Mc, too ;-)

@Jeanne - Fassbender & McAvoy MAKE this movie. Hope you enjoy it! And it's a great place to start w/ the series too.

...And they were BOTH in 'Band Of Brothers.' I started to make a list once of hot British actors that appeared in BoB when they were relatively unknown - it's a LONG list (Jamie Bamber and Simon Pegg and Tom Hardy and a whole slew of others). Whoever did the casting for BoB apparently had a great eye for talent.

@Joni - You are so right. Band of Brothers is basically a roll call of great British acting talent.

@Debra - Not shabby indeed! ;) Fun times! Speaking of dinner company (haha) did you watch Zen on Masterpiece Mystery?

Debra E. Marvin said...

no I missed Zen. I suppose I missed something great. I always defer to your knowledge and good taste...
