I love, love, love Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. So when I heard about this upcoming novel I knew I'd have to check it out. Jane by April Lindner releases in October.

@heidenkind - I know, I can't wait. I dearly hope it lives up to the premise and source. :) I've got a copy preordered!
I heard about this book a while back and was going to order it, only to find out it hadn't actually come out yet. D'oh! :( Soon though! Still have Chocolate Roses, Jenna Starborn and The Ivy Tree to get through, so I might wait until I've read those before I order it. Currently reading Jane Eyre's Daughter (subtitled "The Electra Complex" ... or at least it really should have been!) and Adèle, Grace and Céline. Think I'll use NaNoWriMo as an excuse to get off my bum and work on my own modern adaptation as well. :)

I got that ARC when I went to BEA back in May. unfortunately it's still packed up in one of my 20 boxes of books from the move.
