This is a very, very small sampling of the pictures I took on day 2 of our trip, when Julia, Lori & I hit Central Park. I LOVED it. The weather was perfect - it was a simply gorgeous, beautiful, fall day. There's apparently a ton of ground in the park that we didn't cover...if, no
when, I go back to NYC, I'd love to check out the other half. :)
This is a view across the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir. I love the reflection of the buildings on the water!

Belvedere Castle, built in 1872. Loved it, loved it, loved it. A weather station is located inside the tower.

Me enjoying the view! :)
Lori & I at the castle.

View of the Plaza Hotel from the park.

Great pics, Ruth! Central Park is so big! I was there many years ago and only saw the Tavern on the Green area. I think lots of movies have been filmed there. Glad you had great weather! Glad you're back as I've missed your great commentaries!
@Laura - Thanks so much! Central Park was huge, I had no idea until I got online today and started looking up statues - then I realized how much I'd missed! We only had rain one day...a bit on Saturday. Other than that, the weekend was gorgeous. More pics to come tomorrow!
Lovely pics. I walked through Central Park a bit when I went to NYC, but I didn't get to see the Castle--which was kind of a bummer.
@heidenkind - Thanks! Girl, you would've LOVED the Castle...it is so right up your alley!
These are so pretty! So glad you had a great time :)
