The Making of a Lady premieres Sunday!

I have been waiting for this news for forever. :) This Sunday following Downton Abbey PBS will premiere The Making of a Lady, based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett (check local listings to confirm showtimes). Angsty Linus Roache, in uniform?! I am SO there. :) Here's a preview:

Woot! So glad you're going to watch this, Ruth! Cannot wait to hear what you think - and yippee! This means it'll come to the states on DVD. :)

It is a STRANGE movie, but I really like it. Glad I'll finally get to own a proper American copy of it. :)

@Charity - It was SO WIERD. Yet I really liked Linus Roache. ;) BUT SO SO SO STRANGE!! And based on clips I've seen on YouTube, the PBS broadcast kinda hacked to to pieces...some of the edits seemed REALLY off. But the blu-ray is unedited so there's that. ;)

Linus was lovely! But... how badly did they chop it to pieces?! I'm curious now!

@Charity - I need to go back and check to be sure, but some of the edits in-between scenes were VERY abrupt. And the build-up to the moment when the girl (I forget her name) goes to join her husband for the first time to consummate the marriage was really rushed/abbreviated. But maybe I'm remembering it wrong. ;)
