Oh this weekend: saw Catching Fire, about to watch the rebroadcast of Doctor Who's 50th since I missed the first airing, and now a new Sherlocktrailer?! Good times!
This has been a good weekend for fandoms. :) I can't wait to hear your thoughts on Doctor Who (watched the airing this afternoon) and Catching Fire (hopefully going to see it on Tuesday!).
I chose not to see Hunger Games in theater for that reason. Waited for the DVD. I'm debating about Catching Fire for the same reason. How would you compare the two in intensity? I'm very familiar with both stories having read them twice. However, reading it is one thing, images on a huge screen is another. For me anyway. :)

How was Catching Fire? I hope to see it after I finish my copy edits for TAMSEN.

@Lori - It was a VERY well-made, gripping film -- but super, super intense IMO. Unsettling -- but that is the nature of the story.
@Kristin - I know!! Love it. Doctor who was INCREDIBLE, wasn't it?! And Catching Fire was every bit as good as I expected.
Yay for Catching Fire! Hope you enjoyed it, Ruth. Your weekend was/is awesome. How does one handle all those fandoms!? ;)

@Lori - The Hunger Games wasn't nearly as intense or unsettling as Catching Fire, IMO. I haven't read that book yet, though (I am SO behind!).
