Snow White and the Huntsman - 1st trailer!
Any excuse to post this nice shiny new Chris Hemsworth poster for Snow White & the Huntsman is a good one, right? *wink*
The first trailer for the June 2012 release debuted on Apple today -- I can't find an embeddable version yet, so click through to watch the trailer on Apple.
Half Lord of the Rings, half Alice in Wonderland 2010, my first take is dark, edgy, but potentially pretty awesome. And Charlize Theron is ROCKING the Evil Queen thing! Needless to say, I'm now a tick more interested in this film than I was when I first posted about the two upcoming Snow White films last month.
Oh wow. Definitely Lord of the Rings-ish. But done well, that would be a very good thing.
ReplyDelete@Anne - You're absolutely right! :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm... This one actually looks a little "creepy"! Charlize does look like she'll make an excellent villain (which is awful since I like her as a actress!). The fact that the trailer informs us this is "from the producers of 'Alice in Wonderland'" makes sense because it is reminiscent of that from the trailer. I am expecting the most from Chris and Charlize whereas Kristin looks to be running through the forest for much of the movie (many of her "Twilight" fans are likely to follow her into this transition - I'll just be seeing it for the fairy-tale of it all. ;D).
ReplyDeleteAnyway... I am still most looking forward to the Lilly Collins version - and I am determined to at least get to ONE of them in theaters, preferably the J. Roberts/L. Collins adaptation. =)
Thanks for sharing, Ruth!
@Rissi - This one'll be interesting. Theron figured much more prominently in the trailer than I expected. Like you, I'm expecting the most from Chris and Charlize. :)
ReplyDeleteYou inspired me to look up the Lilly Collins Snow White -- so I looked it up on the IMDB, and it looks like it has been given an offical name -- Mirror, Mirror -- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt166735 -- now if only it will get a trailer!
I did see that the "other" version of Snow White had a name - it's actually quite... unique or maybe "cute" is a better word. I meant to mention it in my comment and forgot. =D
ReplyDeleteAs long as the entertainment industry keeps the fairy-tales coming, I'm good. ;-)
Lots of interesting people in that film. Shame it also has Kristen Stewart. :]
ReplyDeleteLove him! Those brothers are tooo hot for their own good ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat trailer.
I really can't wait.
@Rissi - It is kinda cutsey but I like it. And I couldn't agree with you more, loving the retold fairy tales trend. :)
ReplyDelete@Traxy - I completely 100% agree with you. Seriously they had to go with KS...oh well, at least Charlize and Chris H. look interesting. :)
@Juju - You ain't kidding! ;)
THAT LOOKS AWESOME.
ReplyDeleteI love these big, epic fairy tales -- if this is done right, I smell a "new favorite." =D
@Charity - It does look pretty awesome, doesn't it? :)
