This Sunday Masterpiece Classic continues with Part Two of South Riding, based on the novel by Winifred Holtby. I really enjoyed Part One, and am looking forward to seeing how this story plays out. Here's a bit about what we have to look forward to with the upcoming episode:
Away from South Riding, passions flair, combating despair, for the forward-looking Sarah and the tormented Robert when South Riding continues this Sunday, May 8, 2011, on MASTERPIECE CLASSIC. Anna Maxwell Martin (Bleak House) and David Morrissey (Sense & Sensibility) star in this adaptation of Winifred Holtby's novel from screenwriter Andrew Davies. If you missed Part One (or need a refresher), you can catch up by reading my review of Part One here, or re-watching the episode on the PBS website (available through 6/14/11).
I didn't know this was continuing, thank you for the prompt!
ReplyDelete@Lady Cherry - Oh you're welcome! Thanks for stopping by! :)
ReplyDeleteI have to say I didn't get into this like I have Downton Abbey or Upstairs Downstairs. I don't think I'm going to watch the rest. Maybe the next period piece they do will get my attention more.
ReplyDeleteThere is one thing I liked about it, the wardrobe! The wardrobe as usual with Masterpiece Classic was great!
@Sean - I haven't watched Part Two yet (see today's post), but I'm inclined to agree with you. While I enjoyed Part One it hasn't grabbed me like Downton & Upstairs Downstairs did. However I 100% agree with you, the clothes are AMAZING! :)
