Looking forward to...

I don't have much energy to blog right now, apparently...I've got some sort of funky allergy/scratchy throat crud going on. If this doesn't turn into something easily recognizable ASAP (i.e. a cold), I suppose it's time to head to the doctor's office. Oh joy. :)

It's been a while since I've posted about any movies I'm looking forward to, and providentially two of them open this Friday.

First up we have The Adjustment Bureau, starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt:

Not a huge fan of Damon, but this movie sounds pretty fantastic.

Also opening this weekend is Beastly, based on the book of the same name by Alex Flinn, which I reviewed here. This movie stars Alex Pettyfer, Vanessa Hudgens, and Neil Patrick Harris. I really enjoyed this book so I'm pretty excited about this one. :)

How about you? What films are you looking forward to in the coming days/weeks?

  2. I am looking forward to Adjustment Bureau too.

I just saw an advanced screening of Beastly last night. I wasn't impressed. I wonder if it's because I hadn't read the book. I thought it was a little unbelievable....well a lot unbelieveable. LOL.

But I have to say NPH stole the show. He made the whole movie. I love him.

  3. @Deborah - Somehow I've managed to hold off seeing The King's Speech in theaters again...I am about to pre-order the DVD, however. :) Enjoy!

@Joy - Well, Beastly the book is pretty unbelievable...but I liked it anyway. ;) And I am glad to hear NPH is good as the tutor - from what I remember of the role in the book that is pretty much PERFECT casting. :)

  4. Honestly, I don't have any movies to look foward to until the Harry Potter finale. And maybe the new "Jane Eyre" movie, if it comes to a theater near us, which I doubt will happen. :) I might go see the PG-13 rerelease of "The King's Speech," but if not, I'll definitely rent it.

I do have three DVD releases to look foward to in March and April, though! :) Tangled, HP, and Narnia.

  7. I'm looking forward to Beastly, and Jane Eyre. I liked the book Beastly because it was neat to read a book along the lines of Beauty and the beast told from the beast's point of view

  9. I'm stoked about Jane Eyre too! I'm seeing Beastly with Mom this weekend. That Matt Damon movie looks great (Emily Blunt is fab!). And, just based on previews, I like the looks of the Jake Gyllenhaal movie too. Holler when you see Beastly! I wanna know what you thought of it.

  10. @Kristin - With the way Focus Features has been promoting Jane Eyre online, I wouldn't be surprised if it goes into wide release pretty quickly, of not immediately. Keeping my fingers crossed! :)

    @Deborah - I can't believe that! j/k

@Amber S. - Oh, what did you think of the novel? :)

@Carissa - That's why I liked the novel Beastly too!

@Polka Dot - And I still need to blog about The Eagle... :)

@Natalie - Oh, I will definitely let you know when I see Beastly! What Jake G. movie are you talking about?

And to everyone - there will be Jane Eyre blogging!!!! Trust me on that one!!! :)

  12. In chronological order, hmm ...

    1. Harry Potter 7:2
    2. Captain America (Richard Armitage, yay!)
    3. Jane Eyre (SEPTEMBER! Cruel movie companies!)

Those are the ones I'm aware of at the moment at least. :)

  13. @heidenkind - Well that would defeat the purpose of appealing to teens or something...I know what you mean, it's a little ridiculous. LOL

@Traxy - OMG I almost forgot about Captain America! And the new Pirates flick! And regarding JE - yes, movie companies are CRUEL!
