Argh, now that you...@Traxy - Thanks so much! :)

Argh, now that you've reminded me about Lupin - well, more Lupin is ALWAYS a good thing, so I'm bummed about that now. :P Maybe it'll be a deleted scene on the DVD? ;) The Dudley omission doesn't bother me, mainly because we get so little of the Dursleys in the films that having a big turnaround scene like that might have felt weird. Too much too late, you know? But that may just be me...

Totally agree about Hedwig - oh that one hurt! She was fantastic. And Dobby...oh gosh it was so good to see him on-screen again even though it was just leading up to his big exit. I thought Part One was a bit rough, Part Two is going to leave me absolutely wrung out. The characters are all like friends.

Totally forgot Hinds was playing Aberforth, thanks for the reminder!

And you are totally right about Rhys, he does clean up rather well all things considered. ;)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11986319237275869540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1319032275293010502.post-37642798153093704362010-11-22T16:03:22.999-08:002010-11-22T16:03:22.999-08:00Totally agree with your review, Ruth! Beautifully ...Totally agree with your review, Ruth! Beautifully written! :)

I had some time to take out in lieu, so I could leave work early and catch an afternoon showing. If I didn't, we wouldn't have been able to get tickets at the nearest cinema until 10:30 at night! So that worked out really well.

Unfortunately, I've just finished re-reading HP7, so I noticed all the things that were missing. I was really looking forward to Lupin's angsty hissy-fit (Lupin ... now there's the one man with a mustache I'm not repelled by!) and I thought it was such a shame they didn't show Dudley's turn-around. It was a pivotal moment in his character progression and THEY LEFT IT OUT! Shame on them! :(

Hedwig - loved that she was set free, because that really bugged me about the book! Got tears in my eyes ... such a brave girl. Not to mention Dobby, that actually made me cry, and I've NOT cried during ANY of the previous films! OR reading the books! Part 2 is going to be very emotionally draining with the steep death toll. The characters are like friends!

Can't wait for July, even though seeing Hogwarts being destroyed will be difficult, to say the least. Looking forward to seeing Ciarán Hinds as Aberforth, though.

Oh, and a P.S. - Rhys Ifans, "the Welsh slob of a flatmate in Notting Hill", woah does he scrub up nicely! I'm totally crushing on Xeno Lovegood now! *giggle*Traxyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13249884092846934427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1319032275293010502.post-23041563679762532642010-11-20T18:41:05.525-08:002010-11-20T18:41:05.525-08:00@Kristin - Oh I do hope you'll get to see it s...@Kristin - Oh I do hope you'll get to see it soon! I can't wait to read your thoughts!

And I am not kidding, I teared up writing this post - I still feel so emotional after watching the film yesterday afternoon it's not even funny. :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11986319237275869540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1319032275293010502.post-85231483673604131212010-11-20T17:35:47.302-08:002010-11-20T17:35:47.302-08:00I am so stinking jealous! :) I was almost in tears...I am so stinking jealous! :) I was almost in tears just reading what you had to say about the movie. I cannot wait to see it.

I was also surprised to find out about Bonnie Wright being engaged to that guy. I was looking through a photo slideshow of the HP actors over the years, and the newest one of her said she was planning to marry this guy who was in Harry Potter. I kept thinking, I don't recognize him, until I looked it up and saw who he played. :)

~KristinKristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10592919145644124930noreply@blogger.com
