Very nicely done, you two! :)

@Lori - Maybe Bates and Anna will get awesome again in season four. I'm keeping my fingers crossed at any rate.

And I can hardly believe that just as I'm liking Ethel she's gone, doesn't that figure??? And the Daisy storyline...well maybe it is a set up for some good things in season four. At least I hope so!

@Rissi - Thanks Rissi. This season has been a crazy ride but I've thoroughly enjoyed it. :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11986319237275869540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1319032275293010502.post-85114388566852332402013-02-07T17:23:36.531-08:002013-02-07T17:23:36.531-08:00Matthew and Mary with Baby Sybil!? It dragge...Ruth, I hear you on the Bates situation. It dragged on for far too long and I feel like, in the end, it's a total wasted opportunity. It makes me sad that I'm not really excited about Bates/Anna anymore :-(

Glad to see you've come around to Ethel a wee bit. I was no big fan of her storyline either but she is definitely redeeming herself in this ep.

I hate to say it but I feel like the Daisy storyline goes the way of the Bates storyline...so much potential but then nothing really happens. Maybe next season??? I do agree about how great it is Mr. Mason has adopted her. It was a perfect moment :)

Oh--that dinner table scene with the vicar? Priceless. Branson's face when he sees everyone sticking up for him. . . see, Tom? You're well-loved and respected, now stay!

Robert was painful this episode. Honestly, while I was rather thoroughly annoyed with him throughout most of this episode, he had valid reasons for being so. Poor Robert has had his world totally turned around. I'm just glad Cora's back on his side.

I know what you mean about the Bates prison thing. I had no idea what was going on, could never hear any of those intense whispered conversations in prison, and then suddenly he's free! Anna's delight (indeed, the delight of the whole house!) made the random prison guard and evil cellmate worth it, I think.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who suspected Jimmy may have a little crush on Daisy. A bit of a storyline from season 1, eh?

Ethel is rather admirable, isn't she? Mixed feelings abound!

My sisters and I all had the same idea about Branson: c'mon, Matthew, give him a job, or a farm, or a partnership, or something!
I really like Matthew and Tom's friendship. It's become one of the highlights of the season for me. As for Bates, I'm going to miss him in prison and acting all badass. :P He should just become a bootlegger or something; that would be awesome.

And I'm starting to like Ethel, too. She needs some scandal or something. ;)

Cora has really really had a good season, hasn't she? And this week she was positively on fire...I loved it. I hope the show continues to capitalize on her growth this season!

I'm not ready for Daisy to move to the farm either...but I love that she has that option! :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11986319237275869540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1319032275293010502.post-65669134970878983242013-02-06T18:41:49.891-08:002013-02-06T18:41:49.891-08:00I still managed to cry at different points. but no...I still managed to cry at different points. but no sobbing!

I'm a bit worried about Edith. She's going to run away from home one of these days and become a flapper.

Cora had some great lines for a change. She's fed up with Robert's refusal to move into the present day.
Mr. Mason aka 'Matthews' is a pretty sharp tack. But we can't have Daisy moving to the farm just yet.Debra E. I think we can rest easy on Tom's score...for now. ;)

@Debra - That pudding quip was too funny! I agree with you about O'Brien...she seemed to be mellowing out last season and now she is...well, kinda going crazy w/ the evil plotting thing.

I am guessing this new Lady Rose (right?) is a cousin or something? Looking forward to seeing how she shakes things up. :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11986319237275869540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1319032275293010502.post-55071934983804131382013-02-06T18:32:34.128-08:002013-02-06T18:32:34.128-08:00My favorite moment might have been the 'it'...My favorite moment might have been the 'it's a shame to miss a good pudding moment'! Yes, it did seem the girls were all in solidarity this week.
Branson the farmer is a nice idea, and I loved the reinforcement of Mary and Matthew's love. We waited so long that it bugs me to see them unhappy.

What is new this season is that O'Brien is smiling more in her revenge plan. A big ol Smirk everytime she sends Jimmy away... I think we all forget how much she adds to this show -such depth beyond first season.
I'm happy that Cora and Robert made up and that Bates is coming home. I was very tired of him in jail and I am confused as to the whole issue of the bad guys and Mrs. Bartlett. What was the point? did they have nothing better to do? Mrs. Bartlett must be the bad guy's sister or something...

I did find a way to forgive Robert again.

We are in the home stretch, ladies. a double-header this weekend! And I'm still trying to figure out how the last "new face" at DA will play out. See you on the other side of Sunday...
Debra E. I don't think I could have stood another emotional gut-wrenching episode after the last one. I know there will be more to come, but oh, it felt good to have some good news!

I loved that Violet brought Cora and Robert back together. I loved that all the women are standing together. I love Daisy's options. And I love that Matthew and Tom are forming a true friendship. So, so many questions remain and I'm very nervous as to how some of them will play out (I have managed to avoid all spoilers so far!), but at least I'm more emotionally ready to face those things now. :) Anne Mateerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11330467138236037032noreply@blogger.com
