The grey-haired James Dean is odd though...the aging makeup left a lot to be desired. :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11986319237275869540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1319032275293010502.post-25738656985665429052011-03-31T16:38:16.973-07:002011-03-31T16:38:16.973-07:00I forgot "Giant"! I can't believe I forgot that huge movie with a grey-haired James Dean. :)

~KristinKristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10592919145644124930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1319032275293010502.post-4041786725619627782011-03-24T07:10:24.400-07:002011-03-24T07:10:24.400-07:00@Bookworm1858 - Me too - that's why I wanted t...@Bookworm1858 - Me too - that's why I wanted to share some of my favorites. Glad to know another fan of Cat. :) I don't know that I've ever watched A Place in the Sun all the way through - I seem to remember catching bits and pieces of it at various times that its aired on TCM, but never made time for the whole film. I love me some Montgomery Clift, so that will have to change. :)

@Juju - Oh, me too! And thank you!

@Kristin - I so agree...we get closer and closer to the end of an era that can't be equaled...and that makes me so sad. Thankful for the DVDs that keep the Golden Age of Hollywood alive in my living room! :)

And yay for maybe introducing you to some new Taylor films?! :) I have seen the three you mention and really do enjoy them...but when I was putting together this post after perusing her IMDB listing, these are the five that rose to the top. :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11986319237275869540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1319032275293010502.post-90907208265237454952011-03-24T04:27:44.087-07:002011-03-24T04:27:44.087-07:00I was sad to hear about it, too- it's a sad th...I was sad to hear about it, too- it's a sad thought to me that nearly all of those who were part of the golden age of Hollywood are gone now.

I hate to say this, but I've never seen any of those films starring her! I've only seen her in Jane Eyre, Little Women, Father of the Bride, and maybe one more that I can't think of.

~KristinKristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10592919145644124930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1319032275293010502.post-46893305142935271662011-03-24T04:15:32.522-07:002011-03-24T04:15:32.522-07:00Poor doll had been through so much in the last yea...Poor doll had been through so much in the last years of her life. I hope it inspires more people to check out some of her films. I've only seen 3 of the ones you mentioned but I'm hoping to watch a couple more in the next weeks. So far, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is probably my favorite of hers.

Have you seen A Place in the Sun?
